Geoff Pope has been recognized by his peers for his success in products liability, medical negligence, and general personal injury cases. He has regularly been chosen by his peers for inclusion in the Georgia Super Lawyer publication, a designation bestowed on only 5% of Georgia lawyers. In 2006, he was elected a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, a highly-selective honor limited to 1/3 of 1% of Georgia lawyers. In 2007, The Daily Report, a leading Georgia legal newspaper, profiled Geoff as one of 15 Georgia lawyers under the age of 40 who are “On the Rise”.
Geoff spent the first six years of his legal career defending product manufacturers, healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other businesses. Since then, he has represented individuals, families, and businesses injured by the wrongful conduct of others. Geoff is an active member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association (GTLA), currently holding the office of Executive Vice President.
Geoff received his B.A. (with high honors) from the University of Georgia in 1990 and graduated cum laude in 1993 from the University of Georgia School of Law where he served on the Editorial Board of the Georgia Law Review and was a member of the National Moot Court Team. At the University of Georgia, Mr. Pope was a member of a number of honorary societies, including Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi, Blue Key, Omicron Delta Kappa, the Joseph Henry Lumpkin Inn of Court, and the Order of the Barristers.
Geoff has served as an adjunct professor of litigation at the Emory University Law School, regularly lectures on a variety of topics at seminars for attorneys, and is frequently asked to testify before various committees of the Georgia General Assembly on legal matters. He also volunteers with the Truancy Intervention Project where he provides free representation to truant high school students in Atlanta.
